Departmental MIA

It is the responsibility of the Department of Children’s and Adolescent Ministry MIA serve all the children of the church from 0-14 years old, committed so that all church programming includes the spiritual, social and mental growth of this large part of the church membership, including seeking the education of the parents of the children themselves, trying in turn to impact that same group within the community.

The slogan ʺEvery child a disciple of Jesusʺ summarizes our purpose.

Mission

The mission of the Children’s and Adolescent Ministry Department is to guide children into a loving and serving relationship with Jesus so that they become his disciples.

Philosophy

Christ’s order to feed the lambs (John 21:5) and let the children approach him (Mark 10:13,14), entrusts the Church to evangelize children and foster their spiritual growth. The commitment of the Department of Children’s Ministry is to facilitate, equip and coordinate a broad and deep spiritual formation among children, in order to attract them to a close relationship with Christ and dedication to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. “Too much importance cannot be attached to the early education of children. The lessons learned, the habits acquired during the years of infancy and childhood, influence the formation of character and the direction of life far more than all the instructions and all the education of subsequent years” (Ministry of Healing , pp. 293, 294)
